iTerm2 Settings

I’ve been using iTerm2 for few years, and everytime I need to setup a new install… I find myself looking up how to properly set it up.

So… about time to write this post! My settings would be…

1. Settings > Appearance > General > Theme
   • Set to Minimal
2. Settings > Profiles > Default
   • Colors
     • Defaults: Background to pitch black
   • Window
     • Transparency set to 20%
   • Keys > Key Bindings: New Shortcut for Option ←
     • Send Escape Sequence
     • Esc+ b
   • Keys > Key Bindings: New Shortcut for Option →
     • Send Escape Sequence
     • Esc+ f
3. Settings > Advanced > Session
   • Disable Session Restoration
   • Disable When restoring a session (…) draw a banner saying Session Contents Restored
